Meet your instructors.
HEY THERE!
I’m Lynne.
...the enthusiastic founder of LA Pilates NZ, bringing you 20 years of experience as a personal trainer, pelvic floor exercise specialist, pilates instructor, and pre + postnatal coach to every fun-filled class.
Having had no background in dance, (think Miss Congeniality before the makeover), moving with elegance doesn't come easy to me as an ex-rugby player. This is why I love pilates with the form and flexibility it gives us.
A self-confessed education junkie, my passion is getting clients stronger, more educated with how their bodies move (and breath) and building confidence in their own abilities.
WELL HELLO!
I’m Lindsay.
While this is my first venture into the world of teaching, I’m no stranger to exercise and can often be found playing outside working up a sweat. Alternatively, I can often be found curled up on the couch with a good book – I am all about balance! I bring with me an enthusiasm for exercise and an appreciation of the benefits, both physical and mental.
Like Lynne, I’m as graceful and coordinated as Bambi on ice, and finding Pilates to be a great refresher for knowing left and right, and counting backwards from 8.
I share my enthusiasm with Pilates classes by focusing on simple (but effective) moves, the importance of alignment and breath, and the benefits of maintaining routines. I feel passionately about creating classes that are welcoming, and designed to bolster confidence and challenge at the same time.
You’re juggling work, maybe kids, hobbies (what are they?), keeping everyone fed, your house semi-tidy and life’s other adventures, and it’s all consuming to try and fit everything in. So when are we able to find the time to set wellness goals? Well you know the saying, “You can’t pour from an empty cup”. Consider ourselves the empty cup and we need to figure out how to fill it up again.
